Posted by Matt | Have Your Shout | ![]() Another update from Xavier Baez, the man running many sites in the FIFA Community: "Finally we're operating in a new server and now we'll be able to offer free hosting for all the fifa pages that need unlimitted space, subdomains and emails. Fifala now has a new cgi based News system. That means that now www.fifala.com will be updated more frequently because 5 news posters will keep you updated of the main news of the fifa scene. You're also welcome to enter our new cgi based forum to post all questions about the fifala patches. To celebrete our relauch we have published a NEW tutorial about the New Generation Kits - NGK. Do you remember the 2GK jerseys that Fifala.com introduced a while ago? Well, now we have discovered a new jersey technique based on Ariel Santarelli's 2GK jerseys. The tutorial includes a new "texture.big" file that will convert all your 2GK kits into NGK kits. But what does "NGK kits" really mean? The NGK kits are the same as the 2GK kits but there's a small difference. The NGK kits work in "Sofware Mode" plus they occupy less space. The "hlsv" image is not longer used so the size of the kit files is only 147 kb! Soon we will translate the tutorial to english and post it at fifala's international site www.fifacentre.com" ![]() With that said, head on over to FIFA Centre. Along with this, I'm sure Xavier has a lot more things for you to check out over there! So don't delay, go! Posted by Joe ![]() Over at the MRA site, with the success of their recent staff recruitment campaign, they now have some great new people on board. They will be introduced to you over the next few weeks as their work starts to be displayed. Dhruv Sood is 16 years old and from India and he has created his first Patch Review for the excellent Argentina Express 2GK patch. Check out his first review here and if you agree or disagree post your comments below this article or in the MRA Forum. We hope you enjoy this regular series of Patch Reviews from now on. Coming soon is the Red Devils Mega Patch...Posted by Dave | Have Your Shout | ![]() The webmaster from FIFA Hollandia has sent in this piece of information to tickle the funny bone of those looking for a good music update: "We have a great music patch (10 Mb). With this patch you can hear music when players make a goal, or get a card. When the win or loose the game you hear music. You can hear the public sing songs, and there is much more. Upcoming music, and champions music. This patch is a little big, but we also have some small music patches. Download them at our Dutch site or at our English site." Posted by Matt | Have Your Shout | ![]() Some big news coming from Stefan Münstedt, as he sazs it's sensational! He's talking about the ultimate German FIFA 2001 patch "FIFATOLOGY". With this new patch, it will be possible to display the badges of every team in FIFA 2001 at the start of every match (ingame!) (see screenshots). But that's not all - It will furthermore be possible that every team has its own stadium with its own chants, crowd-textures, different fanblocks, etc. You'll be able to play in great G3-stadiums (thanks to Fifamania!). Sweet example: If you select Bayern Munich as home-team, the Bayern-logo and the logo of the selected opponent will be displayed in the popup. You'll play in the Olympic Stadium of Munich, with the original Bayern-crowd, with the original chants of the bayern fans and the goalmusic from the Olympic Stadium etc. ![]() If this excites you, as it does for me. Posted by Joe ![]() Xavier Baez, once again, has some more news from his new FIFA Centre website: "Fifacentre.com has some exciting news for ALL of the fifa scene. When SG released the Downloads Centre I went to download a jersey to check if the people still include GFXPAK in the jersey zip files as well as a BAT program. This is amazing!!!!There's absolutely no need to use GFXPAK to install jerseys into the game. This method was discovered and used by Ariel Santarelli, however, people still don't get it!!! In the new tutorial section of Fifacentre.com not only will you discover how to install Fifa2001 jerseys but you will also know WHY can you install jerseys so easily in the game without even touching the "KITS.BIG" file!!! And if this doesn't sounds good enough to go and take a look at the new site in the Fifa scene, Fifacentre.com has also published the "Jersey Database". This is the ultimate database for patch developers. This database was made by Ariel Santarelli and it includes the number of the jersey of ALL the teams of ALL the leagues. If you're a patch developer you CAN'T loose your chance to save hours and hours of work!!! Do you want to know what jersey number does your team use in the game??? Come on, take a look at the relaunched Fifala international site - www.fifacentre.com!!! :=)" Well said from Xavier. See what he's talking about and head on over to FIFA Centre. If your FIFA game is struggling, or you just can't seem to get the edge on the opponent. Head on over to the GameSpot UK FIFA 2001 PC Guide. Posted by Joe ![]() Over at FIFA Clubs, Claudio, has sent us an email regarding their World League Tourney. Here is what he had to say: "The first World League tournament is on its way to the Finals. The new rules for the Final Phase can be found in our ‘rules’ section. You will also be able to see how the countries have been matched up. The qualifying phase for the World League shall end on February 28th.The Final Phase for Nations is set to start on March 3rd. The play offs for the single player tournament shall also begin on March 3rd. So, if you're not a National Team player, you still have over three weeks to try to qualify. If it's too tough for you to make the National Team, try to make it to the 16th spot at least. For only 16 players per league will qualify for the single player tournament. Five countries (due to the enormous amount of players) will have 32 players play offs. I can’t say which of the two tournaments I prefer. The World League will be great fun. For the first time we’ll be able to see which country is the best Fifa playing country overall. The single player tournament will also be exciting. Many players have made it to their respective National Teams because they can’t stop playing the game. Some players have played well over 100 tournament matches in these last three months. So the single player tournament will give other players a chance to prove that they should have been on the National Team. So who will be declared the World Champions at the end of March? Will it be Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, England, Holland or Italy? Or will it be some outsider? It could be one of the ‘continent’ leagues… And who will be the best player? If you feel you have something to prove, join the Fifa Clubs tournament now and help your country win the World League." You should not be reading this if |
