Soccered's Australian Patch Release
We just got this great news from Robert from www.soccered.com:

Today we released our latest project: the 'NSL 2001 Australian Patch ' I am very excited about this patch, and can tell you that the patch works in all modes including software, and also comes with a MRA installer or an normal installer. The user also has a chance to download an Australian Edition of Steve Suttons Sky Sports Beta 6.

This patch includes all the 15 teams of the National Soccer League as well as Carlton, which were kicked from the league while the patch was in progress. The league includes 12 teams (those teams not to be relegated next season when the league becomes 12) the 2nd division is 4 teams and will be promoted if you play season mode. You can play with all teams during the cup.

There will be some addons released later, including:
  • C7 TV graphics
  • Enhanced kits
  • Menu Arts (maybe)
  • Cyber faces (maybe)
  • a Stadium (maybe)
Robert suggests that everyone heads over to www.soccered.com to download this and to see Iceboy's latest creations.

The Saint Paul Invasion
Sound the air sirens! Hurry the children under their desks! Cover your heads! Look yonder! No, it's not a nuclear winter, it's the "Saint Paul Invasion". Being from Saint Paul, Minnesota and a member of Soccer Gaming I'd like to introduce you to one of my best friends from down the street and school Mike Kasal. As Dave mentioned below, Mike is making some music for MRA.

Take it from me, Mike is really musically talented. He owns and plays a piano, bass guitar, guitar, and drums among the bigger things. He has just started up on making music with programs on the computer. Mike is such a friend and good musician that he even let's me borrow his drum set (well because he is busy working on MRA music).

So listen up football freaks and music punks, check out Mike Kasal's MRA tunes, including "Night in the Benz", and soon to be released "Get My Baby Instrumental". I usually hear these first, and they are great! If you happen to download his songs (which I hope you do), give him or me feedback by clicking here!

Your-FIFA Opens!
The guys at SportPlanet have opened a new FIFA site called Your-FIFA. This site has many new suprises for the avid FIFA gamer.

Their site has a special service called myFifa where users can customise the site to suit them by removing info on games they don't have. They decided what they do want to see and what the don't want to see. Users also get a favourites page for access to pages they visit most and also they get a free yourname@your-fifa.com address.

The latest addition to Your-Fifa is an easy to use team number search, which allows you to find out the jersey, flag and badge number of your Favorite soccerteam. Your-Fifa will also be the home of the Popup Toolbox, the only FIFA 2001 popup editor out there, which allows you to edit the in-game popups (scoreboard, corner stats etc. etc.). By usingthe 'Easy Positioning' feature, Popup Editing is no longer a secret, everyone can edit them by using Your-Fifa's Popup Toolbox.

So if that excites you enough, or you're just a curious bugger, like myself, head on over to Your-FIFA.

    Xavier's News
Once again, this bit from Xavier Baez, the master and manager of many sites including FIFALA:

Fifala is launching more and more sections based on the results of its voting poll. People wanted downloads and more downloads. Based on their request I've built the "Fifala Download Zone 3"!

The third version of the very popular Download Zone looks like your #1 stop for all your latin american downloads. We have uploaded a total of 35 MB of files to enhance your Fifa 99, Fifa 2000 and Fifa2001 games :). Our download zone is fully automatic and it uses php3 language. Therefore all the pages are built using the download template so we'll soon include more features in the page (like the search and rank-it feature).

Currently we have 14 files (over 4.000 downloads already) and we invite you to take a look at our Download Zone 3 at www.fifala.com/desargas"

Well, I'm speechless, he took the words right out of mouth, or I took the words out of his.....Either way, get on over to www.fifala.com/descargas.

    The April Fools Gag
For those of you who didn't read the non-existant Press Release, the news we broke yesterday about EA Sports and Sports Interactive merging was simply an April Fools joke. My apologies to those who I tricked, but the truth is there will be no merger and two seperate games will continue to be made for a long time to come, more likely forever.

Ob La Di Ob La Da
Tuck the children into bed, shut off the TV, make some popcorn, and fire up the fireplace, it's FIFA 2001 downloading time. Much better than a movie, and even more relaxing then reading a book. The perfect way to settle down for the night is to check out and download the latest files from the Downloads Centre:
    • Manchester United Premiership and Champions League ad boards
    • Rivaldo (screenshot) and Van Nistelrooy (see screenshot below) faces
    • Ceske Budejovice (screenshot) and Sigma Olomouc (screenshot) kits
    • Brazilian (screenshot), Czech (screenshot) and English kits (see screenshot below)
    • A Fox Sports TV logo

A nice selection added by Lior today. And it should be noted, if you're a FIFA 99 fan, Nick has just added 8 FIFA 99 files to the Downloads Centre. You should check those out as well as all the other FIFA and CM gaming files avaliable at the biggest soccer related downloads site, the Soccer Gaming Downloads Centre.

Delayed but here - DC Update
As Matt touched on slightly before, the Downloads Centre has been updated and is ready for your files. Before we list off what is new today, we'd like to tell you that the Downloads Centre has a brand new number one downloads patch. This patch just had an update released a few days ago, and if you had seen that, you know it is the "Sky Sports Beta Patch". The patch took over the Shooting Ffix (which was first for one month). Good job to the makers of the patch, surely it is something that everyone wanted and looked forward to downloading.

With that said, we bring you to today's Downloads Centre update, Lior and Jakob have been busy packing the DC with more files. Here's today's current roster:
    • Manchester United 2GK (screenshot), Real Madrid, Celtic 2GK (see screenshot below), Rangers 2GK (screenshot) and Viktoria Zizkov home & away (screenshot) kits
    • Realistic GamePlay Patch
    • New Numbers Patch
    • Lotto Stadio 3d (screenshot) and Nike Match Mercurial 3d boots (screenshot)
    • F16 White ball (see screenshot below)
Click to enlarge.. Click to enlarge..

And that's a wrap folks! Stay tuned and keep looking, as it is almost a certainty there will be another update in just a few hours. And while you're at the Downloads Centre looking at the downloads above, check out the Sky Sports Beta Patch to see why everyone is downloading it!
