I Want More!
"More tea? No, more downloads, you silly goose!" The lines of young innocence, or just an old elementary school skit with phoney British accents. It was quite humorous then, perhaps now it has lost it's youthful touch. Of course, do you know what hasn't lost its touch (quite a segway)? Why, it's the downloads update from the Downloads Centre:
  • Hong Kong Cable TV Sport Logo & Sport TV Patch (screenshot)
  • AC Parma 01-02 Home & Away Kits (screenshot), AS Roma 2GK 01-02 Home & Away Kits (screenshot), Swindon Town 01-02 Kits & Verona 2GK 01-02 Home & Away Kits (see screenshot below)
  • Patrick Kluivert Face (screenshot)
  • Realistic Shoot Fix
  • Wales 2GK Home & Away Kit (see screenshot below)

Remember when you thought you couldn't take the sluggish download pace? Well, we've got your answer! Today we celebreate the opening of the "Get it on CD" feature at the Downloads Centre. Check it out.

What is Conv AutoCAD?
Over at the MRA site we have some exciting news for stadium designers.

Stadiums have often been described as the hardest part of the Fifa series to edit. People who have mastered this science have become very popular for their great work, it especially seems to be guys from Italy.

Now over at FifaCenter they decided to write a Converter for AutoCAD users to make this process a lot easier. Here it is, the ConvAutoCAD v.01.

The excellent G3 stadium over at FifaCenter was designed using ConvAutoCAD. So if you have access to AutoCAD then this looks like a great tool for designing your stadiums. Check this all out over at the MRA site.

The End of a Soccer Gaming Legacy
Today, a very well-known website in the soccer gaming community has closed down.

Euro-Ball, one of the oldest FIFA community sites has shutdown after running strong for more than four years. Euro-Ball was once the best soccer gaming site out there, in particular for people based in the Middle East or knew the Hebrew language. Filled with downloads, great people, forums, and exclusive news.

We at Soccer Gaming have enjoyed their competition, and are pleased at what they have brought to this community there past years. We wish them all the very best.

Not Defeated - Downloads are Back
After a long and hard week here in the USA, I'm back to deliver to you some brand new downloads from our fabulous Downloads Centre. Jakob is also back after being literally kicked in the head on Tuesday (as in some cases on Tuesday, not literally, many of us were).

Still, things are looking up in the United States as well as here at Soccer Gaming. We will go on from these tragic events. Tragedies that were induced by faceless cowards, who, in turn, have only damned their cause and united America, as well as many parts of the world, making us stronger and proud than ever before.

But, you really want some new downloads. No more waiting then. After nearly a week break, here they are, enjoy:
  • América de México Badge
  • DNA's Aimain Update & Slower Ball Movement Patch
  • Jose Luis Chilavert Face (see screenshot below)
  • Greece Home & Away (screenshot), Manchester City 01-02 Home & Away (screenshot) & West Ham United 01-02 Away Kit (see screenshot below)
  • Joma Boots (screenshot)
  • Nottingham Forest 01-02 Team Patch v1.0
  • Japan-Korea 2002 Ad Boards
Click to enlarge.. Click to enlarge..
Jose Luis Chilavert Face and West Ham Kits

We will continue to update you with the latest FIFA 2001 news, but as the FIFA 2002 release is imminent, FIFA 2001 is beginning to fade, replaced with newer FIFA 2002 news. Yet, Jakob and I will continue to update the Downloads Centre - most likely daily - anytime we get downloads.

Cheers and God Bless!

In Memory..
A forum member of our Forums has thought of an idea to remember and show respect for those who lost their lives on the fateful morning of Tuesday, September 11th - a morning many of us will never forget.

He will be sending in condolences and a list of all those who have signed their names to the United States through the local US embassy in his country. If you would like to add your name to the list, please go to the condolences topic in the Forums. If you would like to send them directly to me, click here and they will be forwarded on. Please leave your real name and location to be added to the list. Many thanks!

Day of Infamy
September 11th, 2001
"Freedom itself was attacked this morning by faceless cowards. And I can assure you, freedom will be defended."

Unjust, Unfair, Not Right.......
May God Bless the souls and families of all those victim to this horrendous act of violence.

Today was a tragic day for all of America and the world, after terrorist attacks in Washington D.C. and New York. Our thoughts and prayers are for the families of the victims of these catastrophic events.

This will definitely be something all Americans and the world will remember for many years to come.
Posted by Joe

Speechless
This morning the world witnessed the worst terrorist attack in USA history. The entire globe was shocked by the horrible images of the World Trade Center's "Twin Towers" and the Pentagon as they burned and collapsed after being struck by 2 airplanes.

I want to take the word for the Fifa community, and ask you all to join the rejection of such inhuman attacks to life and civilization, and to send our dearest condolences to the families and friends of those affected by this horrible tragedy

May the victims rest in peace

Assistance required at Fifa Oceania
As Fifa 2002 nears Sam is looking to expand Fifa Oceania. They are looking for a Co-Webmaster or even 2. This Job doesn't require as much as you think as the site is database driven so no HTML or FTP knowledge is required at all, though it would be helpful if you wanted to edit the design of the site. Preferably they are looking for someone from Oceania but can make exceptions.

E-mail Sam by clicking here or visit Fifa Oceania and check out the "Join Us" page for some info. Help would be greatly appreciated so c'mon all you Aussie's and Kiwi's and drop Sam a line.
