Week Four Questions
The following 10 questions/suggestions concerning the future of FIFA games have been sent into EA Sports and we are eagerly awaiting a reply. Answers will be displayed here and on the Official EA Sports FIFA 2001 Site.

41. This is a minor thing but could be very good for adding to the realism of the game... In real life, when an opposing player is badly injured, in the spirit of the you are abliged to kick the ball out to allow him to be interchanged. Then, once he is substituted, the opposing team will return the ball back to you. Could you please consider this for FIFA 2002?

42. A number of National Teams that were announced at the EA website are not present in the game. Can you please tell us why and will there be more National teams in FIFA 2002?

43. I was wondering if next year you will be doing a FIFA 2002 Road to the World Cup? On the National Team side of things, if it could be a little bit like an improved FIFA 98 RTWC that would be awesome. Please don't forget that we need to play leagues as well though.

44. When you see passes in real life they are played 'IN TO SPACE' not directly to the player all the time. This means that most times a player is receiving the ball he is going to be under pressure. You can play through balls yes but only along the ground, NOT over the top. Passing into space would be a good addition.

45. Speed. Why can't FIFA do what NHL did and have a set of sliders for various aspects of the gameplay. This is one of the most brilliant ideas I have seen in a sports game and I feel FIFA could do with it. Passing accuracy, passing speed, etc.

46. Refereeing is VERY inconsistent. Tackles from behind go unpunished many times, and last ditch tackles on players who are through on goal don't produce the red cards they deserve. And there are too many direct red cards for normal slide tackles. All these don't happen in the real world.

47. I jumped straight into world class and found it amazingly hard, but that's only because the computer makes their players do spin moves each time I make a tackle. It looks so stupid everyime they do 5 spins in a row. There are many more realistic skill moves that weren't included. Even the move where you flick the ball over yourself is unrealistic, though it does look cool.

48. I think the graphic is great enough in FIFA2001 and there is NO NEED to improve the graphics indeed! Please put all the efforts and resources to improve the gameplay. I hope that there will be more skill moves in FIFA2002. Please bring back to us the double stepover and nutmeg. PLEASE remove such stupid spin moves. I know EA has spent a lot of money to capture motions from Davids and Scholes, but I have never seen them performing spin moves in a match because it is too unrealistic.

49. Playing soccer is a teamwork and I think there should be one-two passes in the game. Please add this in FIFA2002!

50. What happened to the dynamic weather? We were told FIFA 2001 would have weather changes during matches yet the weather never changes. Will we see this feature in FIFA 2002?
