Interview with the Webmasters:

This is the first installment of the "IWTW". The Interview with the Webmasters feature, giving the webmasters of the FIFA 2001 Community a chance to speak their minds. Whether it be about their sites, or what they think about the FIFA 2001 Game in general. Today's installment takes into a new website made by a member of the FIFA Forum, and a friend of mine, "SCTW". His website is a "FIFA 2001 Improvement" website and you can see it at http://www.fifa2002.gq.nu .

Hello SCTW, please introduce yourself.

I am 21 year old student from Toronto Canada and I love soccer! I am currently studying Computer Science. My favorite soccer teams are the Croatian National team, Hajduk Split and Netherlands.

What is your site name, and it's URL?

The site is called "FIFA WISH LIST" and the URL is www.fifa2002.gq.nu

Why did YOU want to make this site?

I wanted to make this site because I want everyone (who pays their hard earned money to buy a PC soccer game) to have their fair say in what they want in a PC soccer game. I also wanted it to be easy for the “average Joe” to express themselves. When i first started playing FIFA I always wanted to submit my ideas to developers and game publishers but I really never knew who to contact or how I would go about doing so. I also wanted to see what other people thought should be included in a PC Soccer. That idea, along with some dedication led me to make the "FIFA WISH LIST"

What do you want from your site in the future?

I want my site to be responsible for making a big contribution to improving PC soccer games. I would like to know that some of the ideas on the site were inspiring to some developers, and that they used some of the ideas in their own PC soccer game. Also it would be pretty cool if one day you played a soccer game and while you were playing you said “WOW! That’s a really cool feature , I always wanted to see that in a soccer game!”

8) What is your site all about?

My site is about improving future PC soccer games specifically the FIFA series from EA Sports. It lets anyone have their say about what they want to see in future soccer games. I try to sort out these ideas (Or Wishes as I call them) and add them to a “WISH LIST”. Anyone can contribute to the wish list. The purpose of the wish list is to give game developers an idea of what consumers want to see in a PC soccer game. The wish list is e-mailed to developers of soccer games in a mature fashion, meaning that there is no flaming or swearing, that way game developers are more willing to read the e-mail. A person is more willing to read a nice friendly e-mail, rather than reading: “YOUR GAME SUCKS! YOU MUST HAVE NEVER SEEN A SOCCER GAME BEFORE. . .” and so on

What soccer games do you own?

- Atari Soccer (Atari 2600) - Pele's Soccer (Atari 2600) - FIFA International Soccer (The very first one for PC) - FIFA '98 (PC) - FIFA World Cup'98 (PC) - FIFA '99 (PC) - FIFA 2000 (PC) - UEFA Champions League 2000 (PC) - Euro 2000 (PC) - FIFA 2001 (PC)

What makes this site different from others?

What makes this site different from others is that it gives everyone a chance to express what they want to see not only in future versions of FIFA but any PC soccer gamer in general. Although it does mostly concentrate on the FIFA series, any PC soccer game publisher can take a look at the WISH LIST to see what EA does not have, so that they can put it in their game. >

What is your overall feeling for FIFA 2001?

WOW!I could write a whole page, but I will try to keep it as short as possible. It's simply beautiful, a great improvement from last year. Everything has been improved, the goalie, the AI, the pitch is bigger the graphics are stunning, game play is slower, the referee is more realistic (when change the strictness in the options) plus so much more. However, I also believe that nothing is perfect in this world and that there is always room for improvement, which is the purpose of the WISH LIST - to help improve PC soccer games. Overall, I feel that FIFA 2001 is a success, and is very fun to play.

Any other final thoughts you would like to say?

I look forward to playing FIFA 2001 multiplayer. feel free to contact me via ICQ 17269326 or email me at sctw@hotmail.com

Thanks SCTW! We hope you best of luck on your site, and we hope everyone who has read this hopes over to his site and can see his site. Check in soon for another installment of this feature. If you want your site to be featured - send it in! With your name, URL, and why you think it should be featured here!
